FTP applications are, well, boring. I mean we are talking about transferring files from one machine to another. Woo. Exciting. Not. Flow actually makes me want to FTP something somewhere just for the opportunity to use Flow. Flow is developed by Extendmac. The application is well thought out and elegant to use. This application feels like one that was designed for Mac OS X and not like one that was copied from another FTP application we have all already seen and used (WSFTP or Transmit) with the dual pane interface. I like how the path that I am in is easily shown at the bottom of the file list pane. Additionally, I liked how intuitive and easy it was to setup my server, username and file path.
Take it for a spin. You can download a trial copy from Extendmac’s web site. It’s actually not boring to use!
