Sound Byte is a "computerized cart rack" for your Mac or PC. This application allows you to quickly access an sound file on your system for immediate playback. This can be helpful if your are doing a live pod cast or recording one in that you'll have sound bites quickly accessible during your broadcast or recording.
I like that each sound bite can have its volume independently set since as any one who has played around with sound files knows that they are all set a different volume levels.
I did not like the constant nag-ware reminder to buy the product. I thought we had outgrown nag-ware from the 90's but apparently these guys didn't get the message. But, since they are charging $40 for what should be a $10 or $20 application, perhaps that is the only way they get paid - by nagging the user to death. Hey guys, ever heard of a 30 day trial? After 30 days the software doesn't work unless registered.
