Mozilla made Firefox 4, beta 1 available today for download from their site. I'm using the browser right now on Mac OS X.
I can say that my Blogger.com editor is having a little trouble with Firefox 4. Hitting enter on the paragraph above placed the cursor at the beginning of that paragraph. Whoopsie! :-) But, when I start typing it types in the right spot. Just a little confusing. It also doesn't seem to handle the Mac shortcut keys for jumping to the beginning of a line. Well, that could still be the editor not playing nice with Firefox 4. Remember though, this is a beta.
Okay, I just installed it on Windows and the only big difference is that the tabs are on top, like Chrome. The same format is said to be coming to the Mac and Linux versions of Firefox 4 in a future update. I also installed and ran it on my Ubuntu 10.04 Linux system. I will say this for the browser on all three platforms: It is fast.
Okay, the bug with the cursor jumping to the wrong line and my shortcut keys getting ignored was too annoying. I'm now back in Safari 5.0 finishing up this post.
