Apple has an announcement on their home page asking visitors to come back tomorrow for "an exciting announcement from iTunes." My first thought was they are going to offer iTunes subscriptions. Then I jumped to the increasing music preview rumor, but both of these ideas seem minor and not worthy of the big deal Apple.com is making of it.
Maybe they are going to announce that they have made it less bloated or that there will be a Linux version now or maybe Amazon.com shopping will not be bolted onto the iTunes interface. ;-) Or maybe they have worked out a deal with Facebook and it's going to now integrate with Ping in iTunes - the way it should have been from the start.
More than likely, they will announce how they are going to hook iTunes into that new data center they built in North Carolina. Keep your movies and tv shows purchases in the cloud and stream them? Or will it just be streaming content a-la Netflix style come to iTunes?
