Firefox 4 approaches warp speeds With JagerMonkey | Browsers & Add-Ons | Macworld: "We’ve known for some time now that the JagerMonkey JavaScript engine seen in recent nightly preview builds of Firefox 4 would increase the browser’s speed, but Wednesday’s release of the seventh beta version of the software shows performance increases beyond what many of us might have imagined."
MC: And all that speed is worthless if loading the thing shuts off all your Firefox Add-Ons. Not one of my add-ons are compatible with Firefox 4 and there are no updates at this time to make them compatible. And it is not as though I am using obscure Add-Ons, I'm talking about popular ones like Xmarks, WeatherBug, Firebug, Amazon Wish List, etc. Yeah. I fired up Firefox 4 beta 7, then I deleted it. I'll need to wait until my Add-Ons can come along for the ride too.
