I read this week about the New York Times new newspaper reader for the Mac being released. Then I read why I would never be installing it. It requires Microsoft's Silverlight "technology." What? A new, still in beta "technology" by the one company most Mac users loath to trust their machines to was chosen for the foundation of this new Mac reader software? I don't understand the thinking of these companies. They either don't care or don't understand their target market. Additionally, why go with something unproven from such an untrusted company when Adobe Flash is installed on virtually every Mac and PC out there?
Just a thought.
